WiVR Presents at the OpenSimulator Community Conference

\"oscc14_website_header_banner\"The annual OpenSimulator Community Conference organized jointly by Avacon and the Overte Foundation provides a variety of events that cover the broad spectrum of individuals interested in and promoting OpenSim. The conference provides several tracts that include: Business and Enterprise, Content and Community, Development and Open Source and Research and Education.

The Women in VR (WiVR) are honored to present a Business and Enterprise Panel that will host presenters at the Business Track on November 8, 2014 beginning at 9:00 am PDT.

Maria Korolov, editor and publisher of Hypergrid Business and of the Hyperica directory of hypergrid destinations will be moderating the Women in VR panel, as well as several others
\"Julie  Julie LeMoine

 

Julie LeMoine, founder of 3D ICC will present the topic “Virtual Reality in the Enterprise”. Ms. LeMoine’s Terf platform is an enterprise-oriented virtual world platform which supports the Oculus Rift. Ms. LeMoine will discuss how enterprises by immersive platforms; what features and services they are most interested in; what industries are on the leading edge of adoption; and where she see growth in the near future.

\"Jackie-Morie\"  Jackie Morie

 

Jacquelyn Morie has 25 years’ experience in developing innovative techniques for virtual reality environments. She spent 13 years as a Sr. Research Scientist at USC’s Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT), where she created novel VR telehealth care activities. She also worked in the animation and special effects industries and prior to that, worked at UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training. She currently working with NASA to create virtual world solutions.

\"Gwenette-Writer-Sinclair\"  Gwenette Writer Sinclair

 

Gwenette Writer Sinclair is a research associate at the Institute for Simulation & Training, at the US Army Simulation & Training Technology Center, UCF. She specializes in virtual world development design for immersive interaction and collaboration, personalized training and curriculum design for virtual worlds, and virtual mixed-reality conference, entertainment and fundraising event management.

\"Karen  Karen Zastudil

 

Karen Zastudil is an expert in adult education and virtual learning, She is also the creator of Sagaversity in Second Life and, along with the other members of this panel, a co-founder of the Women in Virtual Reality organization.
