Half as many women have tried VR as men

According to a new survey by YouVisit, 8 percent of American women have tried out virtual reality — but that\’s just about half the rate at which men have tried it out.

However, 21 percent of women say that they want to try virtual reality, a bit closer to the 36 percent of men who say the same.

One reason could be that a lot of the coverage of virtual reality focuses on gaming, and while 40 percent of men are interested in using virtual reality for gaming, only 15 percent of women are.

The take-away? Get the word out that virtual reality isn\’t just about games. It\’s about shared experiences of all kinds.
